Job summary

infogain solutions pte. limited is seeking a Lead Platform and Release Engineer in Singapore to design, implement and manage the software delivery platform.

You will cover CI/CD pipeline engineering, environment management, deployment automation, release governance and operational readiness across the application lifecycle. The role requires working closely with development, architecture, infrastructure and security teams to ensure secure, reliable production delivery and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development, implementation, production support and application maintenance.
• Strong experience designing, developing and supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
• Hands-on Python and Django backend experience, API/microservices, MQ integrations.
• Linux/Unix platform administration, shell scripting, automation, monitoring.
• DevOps concepts and Jenkins-based CI/CD processes, release coordination and production deployment support.

Key Responsibilities:

The Corporate Tooling teamwithin GMET is responsible for process automation, business processre-engineering and the delivery of technology solutions that improve theefficiency, effectiveness and operational resilience of the bank.

As a Lead Platform and ReleaseEngineer, you play a key role in designing, implementing and managing thesoftware delivery platform supporting internal applications, covering CI/CDpipeline engineering, environment management, deployment automation, releasegovernance and operational readiness across the application life cycle. Workingclosely with development teams, architects, infrastructure teams and businessstakeholders, you ensure the secure, reliable and efficient delivery ofsolutions into production.

• Design, build and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CDpipelines to support software development, testing, deployment and releaseactivities.
• Manage application environments across Development,SIT, UAT, Pre-Production and Production, ensuring consistency, stability andoperational readiness.
• Establish and enforce technical quality standardsthroughout project delivery by adopting Software Development Methodology (SDM)guidelines, Agile practices, DevOps principles, continuous integration,continuous delivery and automated testing practices.
• Plan, co-ordinate and execute application releases,deployment activities, production cutovers and rollback procedures with minimaloperational risk.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, solutionarchitects, infrastructure teams and security teams so that solutions complywith enterprise architecture standards, security policies, risk controls andtechnology governance requirements.

• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manualoperational effort, improve deployment reliability and increase engineeringproductivity.
• Monitor and continuously improve release performance,deployment success rates, platform stability and operational metrics.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders,project teams, vendors and support teams on platform capabilities, releaseschedules, deployment issues and production support activities.
• Support incident resolution, root cause analysis,problem management and the implementation of preventive measures to improveplatform reliability and operational resilience.
• Work closely with application development teams toenable seamless deployment and operation of Python-based backend applicationsand their associated frontend components.
• Analyse the impact of infrastructure and deploymentchanges on existing systems, evaluate technical risks and implement optimalsolutions that maintain system integrity and service availability.

Key Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in software development, implementation, production support and application maintenance.

Essential:

• Enterprise application delivery. Strong experience designing, developing and supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise applications, with proven experience in solution architecture, technical solutioning, system design and application modernization initiatives.
• Backend engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django-based backend frameworks, and experience designing and implementing integrations with MQ, APIs, microservices and high-volume batch processing systems.
• Platform administration. Strong experience on Linux and Unix platforms, including system administration and troubleshooting, with hands-on shell scripting for automation, monitoring, deployment and operational tasks.
• DevOps and release. Experience with DevOps concepts, practices and tools, including managing and supporting Jenkins-based CI/CD processes across build monitoring, deployment execution, releaseco-ordination, job troubleshooting and production deployment support.
• Version control. Strong experience with Git, including branching, merging, pull requests, conflict resolution and repository management, alongside a variety of source control systems, development tools and SDLC practices.
• Networking and connectivity. Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls and application connectivity troubleshooting, with experience co-ordinating and validating network port openings, firewall rule changes, connectivity testing and environment readiness activities.
• Web and secure access. Basic knowledge of Apache HTTP Server and web services, covering configuration, deployment, log analysis and troubleshooting, and proficiency in SSH for secure server access, remote administration and file transfers (SCP and SFTP).
• Production support. Experience in application monitoring, production support, incident management, log analysis, root cause analysis, problem management and service restoration, and in troubleshooting application, infrastructure, deployment and integration issues across multiple environments.
• Good communicator. Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good to have:

• Knowledge and working experience with Rocket DevOps (RDOe), including deployment automation, release orchestration and environment management.
• Experience with Control-M or other enterprise workload automation and scheduling tools.
• Exposure to application performance monitoring (APM),system monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience in banking or financial servicesapplications and regulatory environments.
• Prior experience within the Group and an understandingof its processes.

Technical Skills:
