Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore seeks a Principal Test Engineer to oversee photonics testing, develop comprehensive test plans, and ensure quality across PDK development and customer testing. You will manage testing resources, coordinate with design teams, and drive new test capabilities and automation initiatives.

The role requires a strong background in Electronic/Optical engineering, hands-on optoelectronics testing, and programming skills (C/C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python).

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Strong problem solving and data review/analysis abilities.
• Experience with optoelectronics test in lab or manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the testing team by allocating resources and setting priorities.
• Define testing strategy and develop test plans based on project requirements.
• Ensure testing tools and instruments are maintained and used effectively.
• Collaborate with design engineers to verify device performance against specs.
• Support automation and process improvements for testing workflows.
