Job summary

NES Fircroft in Singapore is recruiting a Principal Technical Safety Engineer to drive safety engineering for offshore Oil & Gas projects. You will act as the single point of contact for the Safety Engineering discipline and lead safety design across tender, FEED and detailed engineering.

You will oversee compliance with client standards and company policies, manage resources and deliverables, and mentor junior staff while ensuring technical integrity and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Safety Engineering.
• 15+ years in multidisciplinary upstream O&G engineering, with 4+ years as Lead Safety Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of API, ISO, NORSOK and NFPA standards.
• Experience with HAZID/ENVID, QRA, Fire & Gas analyses.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Safety Engineering Discipline lead across tenders and FEED to detailed engineering.
• Ensure compliant, cost-effective safety design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Management of resources, interfaces and deliverables within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with suppliers for safety equipment and design interfaces.
• Represent the Safety discipline in meetings, audits and technical reviews.
