Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Singapore Assay R&D team. You will drive scientific R&D in molecular biology and biochemistry to develop new, best-in-class multiomics NGS products.

The role requires leadership of a multi-disciplinary team, strategic contribution to product development, and collaboration across global stakeholders, within a lab-based environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific field.
• 10+ years in reagent and product development in biotech/pharma.
• Proven leadership of scientists and multi-site teams.
• Experience with biochemistry, molecular biology and NGS products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Singapore Assay R&D team to develop multiomics NGS products.
• Directly manage scientists and staff to meet milestones and objectives.
• Oversee daily operations with emphasis on quality and compliance.
• Drive projects, technology transfers, and process improvements across sites.
