Job summary

Peak Ocean PTE. LTD. seeks a senior mechanical project inspector to lead EPC mechanical inspections, FATs and preservation programs. You will mentor inspectors, review vendor data sheets and QA documents, and ensure alignment with project specifications.

You will interface with Class, Client, and third-party inspectors while establishing robust preservation and testing regimes across rotating and stationary equipment. Strong leadership and QA focus required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
• 10 years' EPC experience in equipment installation, alignment inspections, FAT and preservation.
• Experience with rotating & stationary equipment and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical inspection, FAT, preservation and equipment performance tests.
• Mentor mechanical inspectors on alignment, inspections and preservation activities.
• Review vendor equipment data sheets, FAT reports, performance reports and ITPs.
• Prepare and review project-specific mechanical QC procedures in line with specifications.
• Interface with Class, Client and Third-Party Inspection Agencies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EPC project mechanical inspection, FAT, Preservation & equipment performance test.
• Mentor mechanical inspectors related to equipment alignment, inspections, preservations etc.,
• Review vendor equipment data sheets, FAT, performance reports, ITPs and other documents.
• Prepare, review project specific Quality procedures related mechanical in compliance to project specifications.
• Interface with Class, Client, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
• Establish and implement project preservation program.
• Preparation and review of Inspection and test plan.
• Identifying alignment related issues and resolving it.
• Calibration and control of all inspection instruments.
• Managing the mechanical equipment related inspections, ensuring that the inspection and test records are submitted for approval progressively

Job Requirement

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical engineering
• 10 years' experience in Equipment (rotating & stationary) installation, alignment inspections, FAT, preservation etc., in EPC projects.
