Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking a seasoned Mech Engineer to join the Debug Project, a team focused on mosquito-borne disease control technology. You will design, build and integrate automated systems, oversee prototypes through production, and work with biologists, software engineers, and factory teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, at least five years in mechanical design and CAD (3D MCAD, NX, Creo, SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• 5 years of experience designing mechanical components.
• 5 years of experience using CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and integrate automated systems with electromechanical components (servos, pneumatics, sensors, drive components).
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from requirements and prototype validation to production-ready systems.
• Design and iterate with real-world users and use cases; test prototypes and released products; resolve production equipment issues.
• Use CAD, FMEA, DFA and engineering calculations to verify product performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, scientists, software engineers, and operations teams; lead technical projects and contribute to multi-year roadmaps for Debug Singapore.
