Job summary

NEXBRIDGE RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design of robotic endoscope systems. You will own concept generation, design reviews and DFMA considerations.

The role requires 6+ years in regulated medical devices, CAD proficiency (Creo/SolidWorks), and experience with endoscope components. You will mentor juniors and ensure ISO 13485 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics or related.
• 6 years of mechanical design and development in regulated medical devices, including endoscope design.
• Knowledge of DDC principles, statistical techniques, DFMA, DMAIC, DQE and IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Experience with machining, injection moulding and extrusion.
• Excellent CAD skills with Creo/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept generation and mechanism design for robotic endoscope systems.
• Translate user needs into mechanical requirements, CAD models and drawings.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate verification activities with Test Engineer.
• Apply DFM, DFA, cost and reliability considerations from concept to design release.
• Lead design reviews and contribute to FMEA and CAPA investigations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing on process feasibility and transfer.
• Maintain controlled design documentation and vendor records.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and Design Control requirements.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
