Job summary

sg endoscopy pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to lead the development of robotic endoscope systems and subsystems. You will translate patient needs into mechanical specifications, create CAD models, and drive design for manufacturability.

The role requires 6+ years in regulated medical devices, expertise in DFMA, and collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and suppliers. You will mentor junior engineers and help ensure ISO 13485 compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in mechanical design of regulated medical devices.
• 2–3 years directly complex endoscope design experience.
• Knowledge of DFMA, DMAIC, IQ/OQ/PQ, and manufacturing processes.
• Sterilization compatibility and reprocessing considerations.
• Cross-functional collaboration for manufacturability at volume.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept generation and detailed design for robotic endoscope systems.
• Translate user needs into mechanical requirements, CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and interfaces.
• Develop prototypes and plan engineering confidence tests with the Test Engineer.
• Lead design reviews, risk analyses (FMEA), CAPA investigations, and design-change assessments.
• Maintain controlled design documentation (DHF, drawings, specs, vendor records).
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and external suppliers.
• Ensure Design Control for medical devices aligns with ISO 13485.
