Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to design automation solutions across manufacturing sites. You will lead architecture proposals, component layout, CAD data management, and platform standardization while producing detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for procurement.

You will conduct mechanical tests, reliability assessments, and work with cross-functional teams globally to ensure timely delivery and adherence to design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Experience designing automation systems and components for factory environments.
• Ability to lead tests, perform calculations, and generate 2D/3D drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical design and development activities for automation solutions.
• Propose architecture, component placement, CAD DB management, platform standardization.
• Component sizing, calculations, and selection for automation systems.
• Prepare detailed part drawings, 3D models, and BOMs for procurement.
• Lead mechanical tests, reliability tests, and characterization per requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners across the globe.
• Ensure designs meet requirements and project timelines; drive root-cause analysis when needed.
• Comply with project documentation and corporate design standards.
