Job summary

asia search pte. ltd. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a design team in semiconductor equipment development from module concepts to machine assemblies. You will drive CIP programs, ensure product performance on site, and support technical sales while overseeing design reviews and field issue investigations.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, leadership, and hands-on CAD skills (Creo/SolidWorks), with knowledge of semiconductor packaging and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Strong technical background in semiconductor equipment development.
• Excellent leadership and project management abilities.
• Experience with 8D, Ishikawa, or DIVE problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of design engineers in the design and development of semiconductor equipment from module concepts to machine level.
• Carry out CIP programs to extend product life cycle and improve gross margins.
• Perform reliability and feasibility tests and verifications.
• Support Technical Sales in specs review, costing and product evaluation.
• Resolve all technical field issues within the product family.
• Ensure on-site product performance and quality.
• Review Sales and Service enquiries.
• Conduct design and drawing reviews.
• Attend project meetings and provide constructive feedback.
• Investigate field and customer design issues and complaints.
• Assist MSPL SG and China MFG BOM, drawings, and documentation issues.
• Oversee mechanical issues for sorters, laser mark and scan products after handover to Product group by R&D.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor due to business needs.

Engineering Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of design engineers in the design and development of semiconductor equipment from module to machine conceptualization
• Carries out CIP programs to extend product life cycle, enhance product competitiveness, improve gross margins
• Reliability & feasibility tests and verifications
• Support Technical Sales in specs review, costing and product evaluation
• Resolve all technical field issues within the Product family
• Responsible for product performance on site.
• Reviewing Sales enquiries and Service enquiries
• Design & drawing reviews
• Attend project meetings & provide constructive feedback
• Field & customer design issues complaints investigations
• Assisting MSPL SG and China MFG BOM, drawings, documentation and other issues
• Responsible for mechanical issues for sorters, laser mark and scan products after official handover to Product group by R&D group

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree /Master in a Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Years of working experience in automation machines design
• Strong technical background in semiconductor related equipment development involving ultra-high precision, high speed mechanisms
• Possess good technical drawing skills using either Creo/SolidWorks
• Knowledge in semiconductor packaging and assembly processes
• Experienced as a Technical leader with good project management skills
• Excellent systematic problem-solving ability using 8D report, Ishikawa, DIVE or other tools
• Good leadership abilities and able to coach, motivate & guide direct reports including conflict resolution
