Qualifications

Experience in marine cargo claims, insurance claims, loss adjusting or related field.
Analytical, organized and confident in assessing policy coverage and liability.
Strong communicator and negotiator.
Comfortable meeting people, networking and building relationships.
Experience in subrogation/recovery and third-party liability claims is advantageous.
Relevant insurance, maritime or professional qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Investigate and manage marine cargo claims from notification through settlement.
Review cargo insurance policies, terms and conditions.
Prepare clear narrative reports and recommendations to clients on policy liability.
Identify and pursue subrogation/recovery claims against liable third parties.
Maintain strong client relationships and develop industry relationships.
