Job summary

Empower Partners Singapore is seeking a hands-on leader for its live trading desk. You will oversee automated equity trading, monitor execution quality, and ensure real-time risk supervision while coordinating with Quant researchers and Engineers to maintain safe, reliable operations.

The role emphasizes live trading leadership, incident response, and strong knowledge of trading systems, FIX, and market structure. Singapore-based desk with global coverage and a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience on a live systematic equity trading desk at a quant fund or related environment.
Proven judgment in managing live trading incidents and taking decisive risk action under pressure.
Strong understanding of trading systems, order lifecycles, FIX and production change controls.

Responsibilities

Oversee live automated equity trading, including strategy performance, positions, execution quality and system health.
Identify trading or system anomalies and pause strategies, cancel orders or adjust exposure as needed.
Investigate execution issues across trading systems with Quant and Tech teams to resolve them.
Manage intraday trading operations, production changes and incident reviews; drive desk controls and tools.
Monitor market conduct and coordinate with brokers, exchanges and internal stakeholders on issues.
