Job summary

TÜV SÜD Singapore seeks an experienced Lift & Escalator Inspection Specialist to support ASEAN growth. You will oversee PTO applications, assess lifts and escalators for safety and compliance, and lead a team of inspectors on site.

The role requires professional engineer registration, risk-based assessment knowledge, and ability to stay updated with international standards. You will contribute to safety, quality and sustainability in a dynamic Real Estate and Infrastructure division.

Qualifications

Registered as Specialist Professional Engineer (Lift & Escalator) in Singapore.
Knowledge of risk-based assessment.
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical control technology for lifts.
Physically fit for high-risk lift and escalator inspections.
Strong teamwork and independent thinking.
Target oriented and systematic problem solver.

Responsibilities

Oversee the examination, inspection and testing of a lift or escalator for the PTO application or renewal.
Conduct professional assessment of lifts/escalators: conformity with standards, maintenance quality, safety and performance.
Assess on-site technical documentation and lift status including wear and tear, defects and safe usage.
Identify business opportunities and potential leads through day-to-day work.
Lead a team of LEI in the execution of inspections for PTO certificates.
Ensure SAC 17020 requirements for inspection processes are applied.
Stay updated on international and local lift and escalator standards and regulations.
Participate in strategy and process reviews to optimize inspections.
Train Lift & Escalator Inspectors as required.
