Job summary

PVH seeks an experienced Senior Instrument Technician to join our team for a Life Science project in Singapore. The role covers installation, testing, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of process instrumentation and control systems in a demanding industrial environment.

You will work closely with engineers and project teams, read P&IDs and drawings, perform loop checks, maintain records, and ensure safety and quality standards while meeting project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC or higher in Instrumentation or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, life science, petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plant projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation installation, calibration, commissioning and maintenance.
• Experience performing loop checks, functional testing, and instrument commissioning.
• Hands-on with pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, and analytical instruments.
• Familiar with P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument documentation.
• Knowledge of control philosophy and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience using calibration equipment such as TRAX, DRUCK or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate and commission process instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform loop checks and functional testing of field instruments.
• Troubleshoot and rectify instrumentation faults during construction and commissioning.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
• Read P&IDs and wiring diagrams and document test results and reports.
• Ensure safety, project specifications, and quality standards are met.
