Job summary

Alpha Z is hiring a Lead Engineer (Full Stack) for its Singapore office. You will own product engineering end-to-end, from architecture and backend to frontend and infrastructure, and you’ll shape the technology stack to scale effectively.

You will build APIs and backend services that connect the LLM problem-formulation layer with the knowledge library, and you’ll own cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience taking a product from early stage to production.
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining production systems end to end.
• Pragmatic judgment about when to ship simply and when to build properly.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical founders and researchers.

# Lead Engineer (Full Stack) · Full-time · Singapore## What you'll do.* Own product engineering end-to-end, hands-on — from architecture and backend to frontend and infrastructure.* Choose the technology stack and make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions, keeping things simple while leaving room to scale.* Build the APIs and backend services that connect our LLM problem-formulation layer, algorithmic solvers, and knowledge library.* Build the interfaces where users review and verify the platform's reasoning — a core part of our product.* Own cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and uptime, while ensuring enterprise data remains secure.* Establish engineering standards across testing, code review, CI/CD, and development practices that future hires can build upon.* Work closely with the founders and AI Research Scientists to shape the roadmap and turn research into production-ready features.## What we look for.* Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.* Experience taking a product from early stage to production, ideally as an early or sole engineer.* A proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining production systems end to end.* Pragmatic judgment about when to ship simply and when to build properly.* Comfort making technical decisions independently.* Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical founders and researchers.## Technical expertise.### Backend & LLM Integration* Strong backend skills in Python, Node.js, or Go, with solid RESTful API design.* Hands-on experience integrating LLMs via APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models) in production.* Database design, asynchronous task queues, and managing long-running, compute-heavy workloads.* Owning cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including CI/CD, containerisation, logging, and monitoring.### Frontend Engineering* Practical experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React, Vue, or Svelte).* Ability to connect frontend components to complex backend APIs, presenting dense, structured insights and model reasoning in a clear, accessible way.## How to apply.Email: [e-mail]
