Job summary

Alpha Z is hiring a Lead Engineer (Full Stack) for its Singapore office. You will own product engineering end-to-end, from architecture and backend to frontend and infrastructure, and you’ll shape the technology stack to scale effectively.

You will build APIs and backend services that connect the LLM problem-formulation layer with the knowledge library, and you’ll own cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience taking a product from early stage to production.
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining production systems end to end.
• Pragmatic judgment about when to ship simply and when to build properly.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical founders and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Own product engineering end-to-end, hands-on — architecture, backend, frontend, and infra.
• Choose tech stack and decisions balancing build-vs-buy and scalability.
• Build APIs and backend services connecting LLM problem-formulation layer and knowledge library.
• Build interfaces where users review and verify the platform's reasoning.
• Own cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and uptime; ensure data security.
• Establish engineering standards for testing, code review, CI/CD, and development practices.
• Collaborate with founders and AI researchers to shape the roadmap.
