Job summary

HTX is seeking an Engineer, Hybrid Cloud Excellence to join the Cloud Engineering Team in Singapore. The role focuses on designing and operationalising hybrid cloud integration solutions across diverse hosting environments, including cloud and on‑premise platforms.

You will drive technical design, implement IaC and CI/CD pipelines, and ensure security, reliability, and observability across hybrid environments. A DevSecOps mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of hands-on cloud platform engineering or site reliability experience.
• Proven experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP in multi-cloud contexts.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Terragrunt or CloudFormation; CI/CD for cloud resources.
• Kubernetes deployment, operations, and troubleshooting in production.
• Experience applying SRE principles: SLIs, SLOs, incident management, automation.

We are looking for an Engineer, Hybrid Cloud Excellence who will work at the intersection of cloud platform engineering and site reliability engineering, with a primary focus on designing and operationalising hybrid cloud integration solutions across diverse hosting environments.

The Engineer will drive technical design and integration solutions that span cloud and on-premise hosting platforms, supporting connectivity patterns such as API and file transfer solutions to ensure systems can securely and reliably communicate across environments. Beyond integration, the role carries operational responsibility for the reliability and observability of hybrid cloud services, and contributes to cloud platform engineering practices including Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. The role demands a broad and deep cloud expertise, a DevSecOps mindset, and the ability to work effectively across platform and operations disciplines.

What You Will Be Working On

• Design and implement hybrid cloud integration solutions across heterogeneous hosting environments including cloud and on-premise platforms, covering integration patterns such as API-based connectivity and file transfer approaches, with security and reliability built into the design from the outset.
• Drive technical architecture for hybrid cloud workloads, evaluating trade-offs across security, reliability, scalability, and operational complexity to arrive at well-reasoned integration approaches suited to the hosting context.
• Apply software engineering techniques to operationalise and automate infrastructure processes, improving reliability, enhancing observability, and supporting sustainable cloud operations at scale across all hosting environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation capabilities across hybrid environments, ensuring end-to-end visibility of workloads spanning multiple hosting platforms and cloud infrastructure.
• Support security posture management and the design of secure network connectivity and access controls, ensuring infrastructure deployments adhere to established security protocols, compliance standards, and operational baselines.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code templates and CI/CD pipelines for cloud resources including network, compute, storage, databases, and baseline Kubernetes, enabling consistent and repeatable deployments across multiple cloud environments.
• Collaborate with project teams and developers to understand integration requirements and provide technical guidance on hybrid cloud design patterns, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and operationally sound.
• Develop and maintain integration runbooks, operational playbooks, and technical documentation that support consistent and repeatable hybrid cloud operations.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to hybrid cloud connectivity, site reliability, and integration engineering, championing a continuous improvement mindset to address reliability gaps, integration bottlenecks, and operational inefficiencies.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant working experience in cloud platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production-level cloud infrastructure across one or more major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with familiarity across multi-cloud environments preferred.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation, and working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation for cloud resources.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and container-based workloads, including deployment, operations, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Experience applying site reliability engineering principles such as service level objectives, observability, incident management, and automated remediation to improve the reliability and sustainability of cloud operations.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud integration patterns including API-based connectivity and file transfer solutions, and an understanding of how on-premise systems interoperate with cloud-hosted services.
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, vulnerability management, and security posture management across cloud environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning hybrid infrastructure environments and articulate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A DevSecOps mindset with high attention to detail, a risk-aware approach, and the pragmatism to balance operational rigour with the need for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, adapt to an evolving cloud technology landscape, and work effectively with cross-functional teams including platform engineers, developers, and operations stakeholders.
• All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
