Job summary

HTX is Singapore's science and technology agency driving transformative cloud initiatives for public safety. The role focuses on onboarding and educating stakeholders, designing cloud architectures, and enabling secure, scalable cloud solutions.

The candidate will lead cloud training programs, work with tenants on migration approaches, and oversee lifecycle management of cloud-based services to meet mission objectives, all within a two-year contract framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a full system implementation lifecycle.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms and designing cloud solutions.
• Experience with container security and cloud security and familiar with ethical hacking.
• Experience with source code management tools, IaC, test automation, static/dynamic code analysis and CI/CD pipelines.
• Minimally achieved Level 2 Cloud Competency Certifications with preferably 2–3 years of experience in AWS and/or Azure.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful adoption and on-boarding, understand the value and capability of cloud.
• Engage with stakeholders to garner interest, educate, plan and assist in their cloud journey.
• Design and develop Cloud training and enablement programs.
• Design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimisations; serve as a technical advisor and troubleshoot.
• Design application infrastructure services that are Cloud optimised, elastic, scalable, secure and resilient.
• Oversee lifecycle management of technologies and services in support of applications.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and vendors to deliver systems/projects, ensuring budget and specs are met.

What You Will Be Working On

• Drive the successful adoption and on-boarding, understand the value and capability of cloud.
• As part of driving adoption, do active engagement with different levels of stakeholders to garner interest, educate, plan and assist in their cloud journey.
• Design and develop Cloud training and enablement programs
• Work with tenants to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches and application optimisations that enable mission objectives. Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for projects.
• He/She is expected to design application infrastructure services that are Cloud optimised, elastic, scalable, secure and resilient.
• He/She is expected to oversee the lifecycle management of the technologies and services in support of the applications.
• As part of project management, work with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and vendors to deliver the system(s) and/or projects, ensuring that budget, specifications and any other requirements are being adhered to.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in managing a full system implementation lifecycle
• Experience with building and deploying applications as containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, NodeJS, distributed computing and backend frameworks.
• Able to implement container security and cloud security and familiar with ethical hacking.
• Experience with source code management tools, IaC (Infrastructure-As-Code), test automation, static/dynamic code analysis and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Cloud products and experienced in designing Cloud solutions.
• Minimally achieved Level 2 Cloud Competency Certifications with preferably at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines.

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
