Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) is seeking engineers to design and manage enterprise ICT infrastructure, including networks, AI infrastructure, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SDA and AI-based solutions, ensuring systems are reliable, secure and scalable.

The role requires relevant networking certifications and hands-on experience in modern infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ CS/ IT and professional certifications such as CCNA and Microsoft Azure.
• Minimum 3 years of experience for Engineer and 5 years for Lead Engineer in one or more networking areas.
• Strong planning, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices for network role.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and vendors to deliver systems/projects within budget and specifications.
• Design the architecture blueprint of business and ICT assets, ensuring alignment between business and ICT.
• Provide guidance on Enterprise Infrastructure, network and common services across the organization.

Enterprise Communications and Digital Infrastructure (xCDI) architects and delivers transformative enterprise ICT infrastructure, communications and cybersecurity solutions, building on our expertise in:

What You Will Be Working On

• As part of project management, work with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and vendors to deliver the system(s) and/or projects, ensuring that budget, specifications and any other requirements are being adhered to. System(s) and/or projects can be physical, virtualised and/or cloud based.
• Design architecture blueprint of the organisation's business, information and ICT assets, by using multiple architectural models. Use, govern and enhance the architecture blueprint to ensure that the business and ICT are in alignment. Areas will include Enterprise Infrastructure, common services (AD/DNS, DHCP, Software Deployment etc), Enterprise and endpoint solutions.
• Experience in implementing Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SDA, and AI infrastructure solutions in line with business requirements for network role.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network architecture that supports AI workloads for network role
• Manage the operation of the end user computing, systems, applications, infrastructure common services (AD/DNS, DHCP, Software Deployment etc), network and application hosting infrastructures to ensure that these are always maintained and operational.
• Formulate Operation & Support Standards for Enterprise Infrastructure, Network, Systems & ICT Infra across MHA for ease of maintenance.
• Provide guidance in Integrated Logistic Support and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) concept so that Maintenance Requirements are addressed during implementation.
• Review and initiate plans to maintain and sustain functions and capabilities of the systems throughout their life cycle.
• Plan and review projects/systems maintenance strategy to incorporate Predictive & Pre-emptive Maintenance approaches as part of project requirements.
• Carry out regular review of the adequacy of the security measures and capacity of the IT infrastructures to ensure that the existing protection measures and infrastructures are relevant and sufficient to address the existing and future operational requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend the use of leading-edge network technologies and methods, considering factors, such as their long‑term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations and criticality. Technology areas can be physical, virtualised and/or cloud based.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SDA, and AI environments for network role.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines and professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect.
• Strong planning and project management skills, with facilitation skills, problem‑solving skills and organising capabilities.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
• Strong interest in technology and innovation.
• Competent, self‑motivated, pro‑active, dedicated and responsible as well as having the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
• In‑depth knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices for network role.
• Proficiency in AI infrastructure tools and frameworks, such as Kubernetes.
• Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred for network role.
• Relevant Cloud certifications (Azure, Google and AWS) is preferred for Apps Infrastructure role.
• Minimal 3 years of relevant working experience for Engineer and 5 years of relevant working experience for Lead Engineer in one or more of the following:
• In‑depth technical experience and knowledge in designing, planning and delivery of projects on technology area hosted in physical, virtualised and/or cloud‑based either of the following area:
• Enterprise Networking:
• Application Centric Infra (ACI);
• Local Area Network (wired and wireless);
• Wide Area Network;
• 4G/5G;
• DWDM;
• AI Infrastructure; and
• Software Defined Network
• Enterprise Infrastructure Deployment:
• Enterprise Infrastructure Architecting and Management;
• Enterprise common services/solutions (AD/DNS, DHCP Software Defined Network.
• Enterprise Endpoint Deployment:
• Enterprise Endpoint Management;
• Enterprise Endpoint Common Services/solutions (AD, GPO, NAC, MECOM, PXE Boot Environment, Patching, Software Deployment, Vulnerability Assessment, etc).

All new hires are appointed on a two‑year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
