Job summary

Careers @ Focal Search is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to manage materials, job orders and resource allocation in our mechanical workshop.

You will lead chargehands and technicians, ensure tools are properly used, maintained and calibrated, and uphold safety, cleanliness and PPE compliance while delivering on time and quality.

Strong problem-solving, interpretation of engineering drawings, and risk/regulatory compliance knowledge are essential for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Workshop GM, Planners, and Quality teams to manage materials, job orders, and resource allocation.
• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are used, maintained, and calibrated per processes.
• Promote and enforce safety norms, cleanliness standards, and PPE compliance.
• Lead and coach chargehands and technicians to improve technical abilities and performance.
• Supervise daily activities to ensure timely production and quality.
• Assign tasks and resources to chargehands and technicians to meet priorities and deadlines.
• Monitor and inspect job progress for compliance with specs, quality, and safety.
• Provide technical information and help to overcome routine repair/overhaul/assembly issues.
• Verify work completion and generate reports and records.

• Ensure that workshop tools and equipment are used, maintained, and calibrated in accordance with established processes.
• Promote and enforce safety norms, cleanliness standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance in the workshop.
• Lead and coach chargehands and technicians to improve their technical abilities and performance.
• Supervise and organize daily activities to ensure that production runs on time and meets quality requirements.
• To achieve job priorities and deadlines, assign tasks and resources appropriately to chargehands and technicians.
• Monitor and inspect job progress to verify it complies with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical information and help to overcome routine issues that arise during the repair, overhaul, and assembly operations.
• Verify work completion and generate any required reports, documentation, and records.
