Job summary

Clear. is seeking an experienced Electrical SME focused on data center infrastructure in Singapore.

You will lead end-to-end design, engineering, commissioning, and operational support for state-of-the-art sustainable AI data centre developments. Responsibilities include developing design documentation, coordinating with third-party consultants, and ensuring compliance with electrical standards across DC, LV, and MV systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including data centre MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) exposure.
• Strong knowledge of DC, LV AC and MV AC systems and relevant standards.
• Ability to write specifications, perform design calculations, and produce clear documentation.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and key documentation from concept to commissioning.
• Review contractor electrical drawings and equipment selections.
• Carry out engineering design calculations for system design.
• Create operation and maintenance manuals for systems and equipment.
• Participate in site inspections and commissioning to ensure alignment with specs.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical SME in the data center infrastructure domain, specialising in electrical, controls, and cabling. You will be involved end-to-end in the design, engineering, commissioning, and operational support of state-of-the- art sustainable AI data centre developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design and key documentation from concept to commissioning
• Assist in technical qualification, onboarding, and management of third-party consultants and contractors
• Carry out engineering design and calculations to provide system design for contractors
• Write equipment specifications and provide final equipment selections, including required capacities, functionality, and efficiencies
• Review contractor electrical drawings and equipment selections
• Assist in creating Operation and Maintenance manuals covering all maintenance requirements of systems and equipment
• Participate in site inspections to ensure installation is in line with documentation and specifications
• Participate in commissioning of electrical and control systems, ensuring equipment and plant operate at optimum performance
• Develop technical engineering standards and specifications
• Engage in R&D initiatives and design optimization

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years of data centre MEP experience
• Strong working knowledge of electrical principles across DC, low voltage AC, and medium voltage AC systems, and the application of local and international standards
• Familiarity with the Asia Pacific region and local data centre standards and norms is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with ambiguous problems and develop innovative technical solutions
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy in design and testing and clear documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, multicultural teams
• Excellent collaboration and organisational skills
