Job summary

Ethos Search Associates Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer for a 1-year contract based in One North, Singapore.

You will own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, automate builds, tests and deployments, and implement guardrails to improve delivery speed and reliability. You will manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes across cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and drive infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Automate build, test, security scanning, release and deployment processes to improve delivery speed, quality and repeatability.
• Develop and maintain reusable pipeline templates, deployment standards and engineering guardrails.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE or on-prem).
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or CloudFormation.
• Assist cloud management on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or Azure Monitor.
• Integrate DevSecOps controls (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secrets management, policy checks) into pipelines.
• Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, artefact repositories, release processes and environment promotion.
• Automate configuration and operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Create technical docs, platform standards, runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.
• Constantly improve delivery performance, platform resilience, security posture and developer experience.

Job description

This will be a 1-year contract position based in One North.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent platforms.
• Improve delivery speed, quality and repeatability by automating build, test, security scanning, release and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain reusable pipeline templates, deployment standards and engineering guardrails across development teams.
• Containerized workloads management by using Docker and Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, GKE or on-premises Kubernetes.
• Cloud and platform infrastructure provisioning and management by using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or CloudFormation).
• Assisting cloud management on Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (identity, networking, compute, storage and platform services).
• Responsible for observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards and alerts through tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog or Azure Monitor.
• Implement DevSecOps controls (SAST, DAST, dependency and container scanning, secrets management, policy checks and compliance evidence, into delivery pipelines).
• Responsible for source-code repositories, branching strategies, artefact repositories, release processes and environment promotion controls.
• Leverage on Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible or equivalent tools to automate configuration and operational tasks.
• Examine infrastructure and deployment incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Responsible for technical documentation, platform standards, operational runbooks and disaster-recovery procedures.
• Perpetual improvement on delivery performance, platform resilience, security posture, developer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
• 3 years of experience in:
• DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering or cloud operations, with significant CI/CD responsibility.
• GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Git, pull-request workflows and branching approaches (trunk-based development or GitFlow).
• Docker and Kubernetes, (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and operational support).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or cloud-native alternatives (Bicep, ARM templates or CloudFormation).
• ing and automation skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python or Groovy.
• Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Monitoring, logging and observability tools and practices.
• Networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls, VPNs, proxies and TLS certificates.
• Identity, secrets and privileged-access management within CI/CD and cloud environments.
• DevSecOps controls, vulnerability management and compliance automation.
