Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks an experienced end-to-end Designer to join the Customs eServices (CES) team, shaping end-to-end digital services and developing a comprehensive design system for implementation by development teams.

The role collaborates with Customs business units, ITD and contractors, reporting to the Digital Service Manager. You will design, prototype, and validate concepts with users, while ensuring standards and documentation are maintained.

Qualifications

• Independently solve problems from brief to validated solution through research, testing, and iteration.
• Create accessible, well-designed solutions within technical and operational constraints.
• Make informed design decisions with evidence; balance user needs, accessibility and feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Customs Design System including UI/UX components.
• Conduct market research, user journey mapping, and workshops to drive government service innovation.
• Plan and conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with CES ITD, contractors, and business units to ensure design meets specs.
• Create flows, wireframes, and prototypes and iterate with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Publish design packages and maintain documentation for developer portals.
