Job summary

Health Promotion Board (HPB) in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director to lead the Data Engineering and Architecture team within the Chief Data Officer's Office. Qualifications

• At least 8 years of working experience in data engineering or data architecture, with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory roles.
• Experience leading data engineering teams and governance across multi-stakeholder environments.
• Ability to translate policy and business requirements into technical directions for the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical direction across the full lifecycle of the NLR project, from architecture to governance.
• Define and own the technical vision, architecture roadmap, and data governance frameworks for data exchanges and interoperability.
• Lead high-level data partnerships with key agencies and ensure data sharing agreements and consent frameworks.
• Guide multiple workstreams, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment with business requirements and governance standards.
• Mentor and develop the data engineering team, manage dependencies and milestones, and engage senior stakeholders to shape future use cases.
