Job summary

MRG Global is seeking an experienced Lead Construction Manager to oversee a major Pharmaceutical construction project in Singapore. You will manage on-site construction activities, lead site teams, coordinate with contractors to ensure safety, schedule, and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering or construction management, with 12+ years in pharma/Life Sciences facilities and strong GMP/regulatory knowledge, coupled with leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 12+ years’ experience in construction management, with significant pharma/Life Sciences delivery in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of GMP environments, regulatory compliance, and cleanroom construction.
• Proven experience leading large multidisciplinary site teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for a large-scale Pharmaceutical project.
• Oversee main contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant execution.
• Drive site safety performance, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate HSE standards.
• Monitor progress against programme and implement mitigation to maintain schedule.
• Ensure construction meets GMP, regulatory and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, commissioning and validation teams for seamless integration.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing and resource planning to optimise productivity.
• Support commercial management including change control, claims review and cost control.
• Prepare and present site progress reports to senior stakeholders and client representatives.
• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities for operational readiness.

On behalf of our client, a globally renowned Project Management Consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a major Pharmaceutical construction project in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with stringent regulatory and quality standards. You will lead site teams, coordinate contractors and subcontractors, and work closely with the client and project leadership to drive successful execution across all phases of construction. The position requires strong technical expertise in pharmaceutical or life sciences facilities, exceptional leadership capability, and a deep understanding of GMP and regulated environments.
