MING WEI INTERNATIONAL (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to lead our kitchen and craft an authentic menu for discerning customers.

You will oversee all aspects of cooking, plating, and kitchen organization, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation. The role requires proven expertise in Chinese culinary techniques, strong leadership, and a passion for creating new dishes while upholding strict food safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine.
• In-depth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and regional dishes.
• Creativity and passion for developing new and innovative Chinese recipes.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a busy kitchen.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create a diverse menu of Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, while ensuring authenticity and taste.
• Oversee the entire kitchen operation, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
• Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with the management team to plan special promotions, events, and seasonal menus.
• Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes for efficiency and quality.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation practices to meet health and safety standards.
