Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our kitchen. You will prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes, ensure consistent taste and portion control, and manage ingredients and stock.

You will train junior staff, work with the team during busy periods, and uphold SFA food safety standards while contributing to menu planning and cost control. This full-time role offers a competitive salary up to S$4,200 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience as a Chinese Cuisine Chef at a Hotel or Restaurant.
• Skilled in Chinese cooking techniques including wok cooking, steaming, boiling, braising, and sauce preparation.
• WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 / Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good teamwork, stamina, and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain food quality, taste, and portion control.
• Prepare ingredients, manage stock, and keep the kitchen clean.
• Follow SFA food safety and hygiene standards.
• Work with the kitchen team during busy periods.
• Assist with menu planning and food cost control.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff.
