Job description

Who We’re Looking For:

• Education: A degree in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field; an MSc or PhD is preferred.
• Specialized Formulation Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in the skincare industry, with proven mastery in skin and sun care formulations and hands‑on experience in application testing (e.g., in‑vitro SPF measurements, corneometer, TEWL, etc).
• Strategic Project Leadership: A track record of leading NPD, EPD, and Open Innovation projects with a focus on scientific rigor and innovation.
• Critical Thinking & Connectivity: The ability to apply strong analytical skills to connect complex technical insights across various technologies and market applications.
• Collaborative Influence: Experience working effectively within cross‑functional, regional/global teams, using strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and meet project milestones.
• Proactive & Strategic Mindset: A self‑motivated approach with the ability to contribute to high‑level strategy, supporting the long‑term innovation and transformation of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead Technical Investigations: Design and execute lab experiments to develop novel skin and sun care formulations, using data‑driven investigation to troubleshoot problems and determine the next stages of research.
• Provide Commercial Technical Support: Act as the primary technical link for sales and marketing by answering customer inquiries, recommending products, and delivering technical training sessions both internally and during client visits.
• Manage End‑to‑End Projects: Independently lead NPD, EPD, and Open Innovation projects simultaneously, ensuring high‑quality technical data and formulations are delivered on schedule.
• Drive Open Innovation & Partnerships: Understand the technology needs of Croda Markets, and proactively scout external technology partners to solve market needs, introducing them to internal stakeholders and managing the execution of collaborative innovation projects.
• Communicate: Translate complex scientific findings into clear insights for various business groups (R&D to Sales and Marketing) and provide updates on developments on projects.
