Job summary

Singtel is building the Central AI Kitchen and is seeking a seasoned platform engineer to guide the implementation and operation of our shared AI platform services. You will shape secure, scalable patterns and lead a hybrid team across Singapore and India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in platform engineering or cloud-native infra.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and gateways.
• Experience leading platform components and engineering teams.
• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple engineers or geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and lifecycle management of Central AI Kitchen's shared Agentic AI Platform Services running on RE:AI's IaaS using OpenShift.
• Own and evolve platform capabilities supporting secure interaction between AI agents, enterprise systems and tools, including MCP services, MCP/API gateways, agent identity and agent registry.
• Develop reusable platform patterns and services to enable application teams to build, onboard and operate governed enterprise AI agents.
• Contribute to the security, scalability, interoperability, resilience and reliability of agentic AI services.
• Lead and coordinate a hybrid engineering team across Singapore and India, providing technical direction, work planning, mentoring and delivery oversight.
• Collaborate with AI architects, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, application teams and other AI Platform Engineering leads.

About The Role

• Lead implementation and operation of Central AI Kitchen's shared Agentic AI Platform Services running on RE:AI's IaaS using Red Hat OpenShift or equivalent container platforms.
• Own and evolve platform capabilities supporting secure interaction between AI agents, enterprise systems and tools, including MCP services, MCP/API gateways, agent identity and agent registry.
• Develop reusable platform patterns and services to enable application teams to build, onboard and operate governed enterprise AI agents.
• Contribute to the security, scalability, interoperability, resilience and reliability of agentic AI services.
• Lead and coordinate a hybrid engineering team across Singapore and India, providing technical direction, work planning, mentoring and delivery oversight.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead implementation and lifecycle management of assigned agent services on Central AI Kitchen.
• Design, implement and operate MCP servers and MCP gateway capabilities to provide standardized and governed connectivity between AI agents, enterprise tools, APIs and data services.
• Implement agent identity and authentication capabilities in collaboration with NCS development team to establish trusted identities for AI agents and support secure agent-to-tool, service-to-service and agent-to-agent interactions.
• Implement and operate an enterprise agent registry supporting agent discovery, metadata management, ownership, lifecycle status and governance.
• Design and implement agent and tool gateway capabilities to govern access, routing, policy enforcement and integration with enterprise services.
• Establish reusable standards and onboarding patterns for agents, MCP servers, tools, APIs and other agentic AI components.
• Implement security controls for authentication, authorization, secrets management, tool access and least-privilege execution by AI agents.
• Integrate assigned platform services with enterprise infrastructure and security services, including IAM, API management, secrets management, SIEM, logging and cybersecurity controls.
• Support implementation of agent-to-agent interoperability and emerging agent communication standards where applicable.
• Lead and coordinate engineers across Singapore and India, including work planning, technical direction, task allocation and delivery tracking.
• Establish effective engineering practices across the hybrid team, including coding standards, documentation, design reviews, testing, knowledge sharing and technical handovers.
• Coordinate delivery across internal staff, offshore engineers, vendors and other platform teams to ensure assigned capabilities are delivered and operated effectively.

Skills For Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud-native infrastructure, or data/AI platform roles.
• Experience in platform implementation on Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Experience designing or integrating enterprise APIs, gateways, identity platforms or distributed application services.
• Experience leading implementation of platform components and providing technical direction to engineering teams.
• Experience coordinating delivery across multiple engineers, teams or geographical locations
