RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking an AI Engineer to design and lead AI/ML solutions for retail, including architecture, deployments, and governance. The role requires hands-on development, leadership of tech teams, and close collaboration with business units.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AI/ML, strong Python/R skills, cloud platform experience, and knowledge of NLP/Computer Vision applied to retail. Weekend/on-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role, with AI/ML solution architecture.
• 2+ years leading technical/software teams or managing complex tech projects
• 2+ years hands-on developing AI/ML solutions and generative AI in retail/e-commerce/FMCG
• 2+ years large-scale backend system development experience
• Degree in Computer Science/IT/Programming & System Analysis or related; Agile certification a plus
• Business Central, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric, or Salesforce certification an advantage
• Proficiency in Python or R; cloud data platforms AWS, Azure, GCP
• Deep ML/Deep Learning/NLP/Computer Vision knowledge applied to retail
• Generative AI applications in retail (product descriptions, virtual try-ons)
• SQL and database schema design - relational and non-relational
• Cloud platforms (Azure/GCP), distributed computing, Docker/Kubernetes, MLOps (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow)
• Familiarity with POS/ERP/CRM data structures
• Strong commercial acumen tying AI metrics to retail KPIs; storytelling to stakeholders
• Available for weekend/off-hours on-site support and 24/7 call support

Responsibilities

• Omni-channel personalization engines and AI-driven customer service
• AI systems architecture for analytics platforms and enterprise AI
• Lead AI project management, vendor/contractor management
• Collaborate with stakeholders; translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Governance, security, and data privacy compliance for AI initiatives
• People and resource management; ensure quality and ROI
