Job summary

Persol Singapore PTE LTD seeks an actuary to price life insurance products, balancing profitability with company strategy. You will develop pricing models for P&L impact and steer pricing governance across offerings.

The role requires qualification or near-qualification as an actuary, at least 5 years in actuarial work, and strong communication and technical skills to collaborate with stakeholders and regulators in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary from a recognized actuarial body.
• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience.
• Detail-oriented, efficient, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in technical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Price participating, non-participating and investment-linked products, aligning profitability with business strategy.
• Support the execution of the overall product and pricing strategy for life insurance offerings.
• Develop pricing methodologies based on actuarial principles and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements for product launches.
• Collaborate with internal departments to integrate new individual life product features and initiate process improvements.
• Lead discussions with reinsurers to establish effective reinsurance structures when necessary.
• Manage accountability regarding business and regulatory compliance risks, implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact risk management.

Education

Actuary qualification (or nearly qualified)
