Job summary

ELECTRO SCIENTIFIC INDUSTRIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD is seeking a hands-on Mechanical/Electrical Technician to assemble and calibrate capital equipment, align laser optics, and conduct final testing according to technical instructions.

You will collaborate with vendors to prepare equipment for shipment, monitor material delivery, and own the build process while upholding quality and safety standards. OT, night or rotating shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Technically competent and like hands-on.
• Take pride in building and outputting quality Capital Equipment.
• Able to work independently after qualification.
• Able to communicate and work with all levels and raise issues to Production Management.
• Willing to take on more tasks and hungry for new knowledge.
• Quality and Safety mindset and meticulous in work.
• Able to use basic testing/troubleshooting tools (e.g., Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope).
• Able to work OT on weekdays and weekends.
• Able to work night/rotating shift if required.
• Prior experience in a similar field is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Laser Optics Alignment, Calibration and Final Testing on Capital Equipment per Technical Instructions.
• Collaborate with vendors to prepare Capital Equipment for shipment.
• Complete Capital Equipment builds within takt time.
• Monitor and expedite materials delivery to meet production schedules.
• Own the entire Capital Equipment build process, ensuring Quality and Safety requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment promptly.
• Monitor calibration schedules for tools and timely calibration.
• Expected to train and work on 2+ Capital Equipment.

• To perform the Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Laser Optics Alignment, Calibration and Final Testing on Capital Equipment in according to Technical Instructions.
• To work with vendor to perform the preparation of Capital Equipment for shipment.
• To complete the Capital Equipment, build with the takt time.
• To monitor and expedite materials delivery to ensure production schedule are met.
• To own and be responsible for the entire process of Capital Equipment build, adhering to Company Quality and Safety Requirements
• To conduct Preventive Maintenance on equipment promptly.
• To monitor calibration schedule for tools and ensure they are calibrated timely in according to schedule.
• Expected to be trained and work on 2 or more Capital Equipment
