Job summary

DenseLight Semiconductors PTE LTD is seeking a Process Engineer to evaluate, inspect, analyze and improve the backend assembly process for laser diode manufacturing. You will develop processes aligned to the company’s technology roadmap and integrate with in-house and outsourced capabilities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1–2 years in photonics/laser diode assembly or related fields, with strong problem solving, lean methods, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or sub-field of engineering.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in photonics/laser diode assembly packaging process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in continuous improvement of laser diode manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate operator skill levels; develop training materials; coach and train team members.
  • Document procedures; ensure ISO compliance; support audit functions.
  • Analyze process out of control and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop improvements to enhance process capability and yield.
  • Monitor process performance and suggest improvements.
  • Work with management to develop process specifications for next-gen products.
  • Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost-reduction activities.
  • Perform process qualification before handing off to production.
