Job summary

Lightspeed Studios is seeking an AI/game engineer to develop agents based on large language models and optimize their performance within live game environments. You will collaborate with game designers and engineers to integrate LLM-powered agents, ensuring latency, cost and player experience requirements are met, while researching LLM reasoning, planning, tool use and memory for in-game scenarios.

A publication track is preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiar with machine learning foundations, with a strong understanding of statistical models and experience working on NLP related projects.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, familiar with basic data structures and algorithms.
• Publication of academic results in top-tier AI/NLP conferences is preferred.

About the Hiring Team

Lightspeed Tech Center is a R&D department under Lightspeed Studios which develop PUBG Mobile and other high-quality games. Our Tech Center leads the research, exploration, and discovery of innovative technologies and provides technical services for all games during all phases of life cycle, including engine, audio, QA, AI, next generation game, technical cooperation, etc.

What the Role Entails

• Develop agents based on large language models and optimizing their performance.
• Collaborate with game designers and engineers to integrate LLM-powered agents into live game environments, ensuring latency, cost, and player experience requirements are met.
• Research cutting-edge techniques in LLM reasoning, planning, tool-use, and memory, and adapt them to game agent scenarios.

Who We Look For

• Familiar with machine learning foundations, with a strong understanding of statistical models and experience working on NLP related projects.
• Proficient in at least one programming language, familiar with basic data structures and algorithms.
• Publication of academic results in top-tier conferences in AI and NLP-related fields (such as: ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, EMNLP, ACL) is preferred.
