The team supports a diverse portfolio for GSB (Graphics Solution Business) across AEC (Architecture Engineering and Construction) and PSP (Print Service Provider) platforms.This broad product portfolio provides engineers with opportunities to work across multiple technologies, gain exposure to different market segments, and develop their careers through a variety of technical and leadership experiences.NPDI Writing System and System Integration Engineers are responsible for delivering products that meet design requirements in print quality, reliability, and customer experience.**What a Large Format Writing System Engineer (NPDI) does at HP:*** Partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels across the business.* Drive future product requirements by identifying and defining customer needs.* Translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights to enable effective cross-functional discussions.* Make customer-focused judgments on product quality, reliability, and user experience.* Lead or support resolution of complex system-level technical issues and drive implementation of robust solutions.* Document and transfer specifications, technical justifications, and knowledge to manufacturing partners to ensure product robustness throughout its lifecycle.* Drive or support process development and continuous improvement initiatives. **Roles & Responsibilities*** **Writing System Test:** Lead printer system testing to demonstrate printhead architecture (PHA) and/or ink baseline performance. Key performance metrics include nozzle health, edge roughness, spray performance, decap, flow rate, color accuracy, and other print quality attributes, while identifying pen, ink, and printer interaction issues.* **Triage:** Own autopsy, triage, and failure tracking activities.
