Job summary

SGS TESTING & CONTROL SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE LTD is hiring a Training Coordinator for the Lab. You will plan, coordinate and conduct training for all staff, working with section heads to identify needs and retraining programs.

You will train new staff in the OGC lab, oversee updates to standards with QA/Operations, maintain training records, and support audits. Fluency in English and local language, and the ability to motivate a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemistry or Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Experience in laboratory application / engineering related applications.
• Ability to coordinate and motivate a team toward a common goal.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously.
• Strong interaction with all management levels, affiliates, suppliers and clients.
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Decisive and able to make tough calls under pressure.
• Fluent in English and local language.
• Knowledge of ISO systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct training for all staff in the Lab and retraining within sections.
• Conduct training for all new staff recruited in OGC lab.
• Identify newer methodologies of training to improve effectiveness.
• Work with QA/Operations to identify changes to standards and communicate updates.
• Analyze and identify training needs within the department.
• Conduct retraining as required for appropriate laboratory personnel.
• Perform a one-time off analysis when required.
• Maintain and update all training records.
• Assist in audits by clients/SINGLAS/others.
• Troubleshoot / rectify testing issues or problems.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Work closely with the QA team /Operations in identifying changes to external/internal standards and ensure that all staff are made aware of these changes.
• Analyze and identify training needs within department
• Conduct retraining as and when required to appropriate laboratory personnel.
• Perform a one time off analysis when it is required.
• Maintain and update all training records.
• Assist in clients/SINGLAS/other Audits
• Trouble shooting / rectification of testing issue /problems
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemistry / Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry.
