Job summary

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. is seeking a laboratory analyst to support production through sample analysis and instrument operation. Fresh graduates or applicants with up to 1 year in an analytical lab will be considered.

The role requires fluent English, attention to detail, and strong teamwork. Training will cover GC, HPLC and related equipment, with 12-hour rotating shifts on Jurong Island. Join a global leader in specialty chemicals and contribute to safe, compliant laboratory operations

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or with up to 1 year in an analytical lab in chemicals.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts at Jurong Island with company transport.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples to support operations and monitor production.
• Set up and operate lab instruments per current instructions.
• Record results, communicate findings to Operations staff, maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of samples in order to support the operations staff to run the process by
• Setting up and operating laboratory equipment and instruments as outlined in current instructions
• Performing tests according to the Analysis Plan in order to monitor the production process on samples from the production and record test results
• Communicating results to the relevant Operations personnel
• Preparing reagents and standards needed for analysis
• Ensuring sufficient laboratory inventories such as Chemicals and Consumables for operation
• Involving in job safety risk activities and adhere to safe practices in the laboratory
• Performing routine/non-routine housekeeping jobs as required to keep the area clean and safe
• Covering duties in laboratory stream as assignedMaintaining the lab equipment and quality system
• Calibration, verification, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment as outlined in current work instruction
• Maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure proper working condition and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed
• Updating existing work instructions, analytical instructions and laboratory records as required
• Upkeeping laboratory records and maintaining the Quality file

Requirements

• ITE/Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent
• Fresh grad or minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory environment in the chemical industry
• Willing to work in Jurong Island and perform 12 hours rotating shift (company Transport Provided)
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Team player
• Attention to details with accurate data recording skills
• Knowledge or experience in handling typical laboratory instruments like titrators and chromatographic instruments
• Experience in using Lab equipment such as GC, HPLC, Automatic Titrators, AAS, UV Spectrometer, Glass oven, Rotary evaporator, Density meter, X-ray, TOC analyzer, TGA analyzer etc.
