Job summary

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in Microbiology & Immunology, housed within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The role is based at the Kent Ridge Campus and reports to Assistant Professor Cheryl Lee.

You will provide administrative, operational and procurement support for the laboratory, coordinating purchasing, payments, inventory and project records to ensure smooth research operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement, administration, finance, or project coordination.
• Experience with procurement processes and vendor coordination is an advantage.
• Experience supporting research administration or grant management is an advantage.
• Experience in a laboratory or research environment is advantageous.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good IT literacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication with researchers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end procurement, purchasing and payment support.
• Track financial and procurement activities for research grants.
• Coordinate with offices, suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations and process orders.
• Maintain procurement, financial, inventory, and project records.
• Support day-to-day lab management including inventory and procurement of consumables.
• Assist with preparation of reagents and lab support services.
