Job summary

BRC is an AAALAC International accredited laboratory animal facility in Biopolis, Singapore. The role involves providing husbandry and care for laboratory animals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety and compliance with NACLAR and AAALAC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in scientific subjects such as General Biology, Veterinary or Laboratory Animal Science.
• AALAS certification and familiarity with NACLAR Guidelines would be asset.
• Preferably with at least 1 year of experience working with laboratory animals.
• Training will be provided for candidates without prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide husbandry and care for animals and their environment according to standards and workflows.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitization standards in the facility.
• Uphold safety practices and procedures (PPE, scrubs, masks).
• Perform daily health checks and relay abnormal findings to veterinarians or researchers.
• Monitor colony health with veterinarians.
• Carry out administrative tasks including census, animal identification, and logs.
• Perform basic animal procedures as assigned and gain working knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
