Qualifications

• At least a Higher Nitec/Diploma in Life Science/Chemistry or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Prior experience in QC lab in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Collecting, labelling, and preparing specimens for testing
• Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results and prevent contamination
• Conducting test according to work instruction
• Following laboratory safety protocols, handling hazardous materials properly, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Construct, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment
• Assisting engineer in experiments, or quality control processes

Job Summary

Lab Technician to assist Senior lab engineer in sample preparation, testing and validation of test method.

Lab Technician need to work under possibly hazardous conditions (e.g., chemicals). Must be well trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that means moving forward. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collecting, labelling, and preparing specimens for testing
2. Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results and prevent contamination
3. Conducting test according to work instruction
4. Following laboratory safety protocols, handling hazardous materials properly, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
5. Construct, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment
6. Assisting engineer in experiments, or quality control processes

Competencies / Job Specifications

1. Metallography, SEM, EDX, XRF, sample preparation, inorganic sample digestion, sample etching, density measurement, particle size analysis, grain size measurement
2. Operation of ICP-OES, Gas analysers, SEM-EDX
3. Lab hand‑on skill
4. Safety thinking and fast response to problems
5. Ability to work independently
6. Good housekeeping
7. Good team player, proactive with can do attitude
8. Able to work under tight schedule, flexible and able to adapt to changes
9. Good observation and communication skill

Minimum Qualification and Work Experience Required
