Job summary

Hilleman Laboratories in Singapore seeks a capable Laboratory Operations Manager to lead the R&D lab’s day-to-day functions. The role focuses on early development phases for biologics and vaccines, ensuring operational readiness, safety, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Chemical, Life Sciences, or closely related field with minimum 3 years of lab management experience.
• Strong interest in Sustainable Smart Lab with OE principles.
• Familiar with hazardous materials handling and related permits.
• Experience with inventory and asset-management systems.
• Knowledge of lab equipment calibration/maintenance.
• Experience with GLP or other GxP systems is a plus.
• Ability to write reports and present ideas.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage operations of the R&D lab focused on early development phases.
• Maintain day-to-day operational readiness and safety of the laboratory.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and calibration/maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Plan, budget, and manage annual laboratory operations budget.
• Collaborate with third party service providers to keep facilities clean and maintained.
• Promote OE initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) in the lab.
• Provide training on equipment and handle routine calibration programs.
