Job summary

Epergne Solutions in Singapore is seeking a senior L3 Oracle DBA to design and manage robust database solutions, ensuring high availability, security, backup, and performance for critical applications.

You will lead tuning, implement Oracle RAC and Data Guard, oversee backups/restores, and collaborate with development teams while mentoring teammates and documenting standards. 10+ years of hands-on experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Working experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Strong background in backup, recovery, and security for high‑volume databases.
• Proven Linux (RedHat/Fedora/CentOS) and Windows Server administration experience.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization for large databases.
• Exposure to OLAP modeling and data warehousing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust database administration solutions, including security, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Perform performance monitoring and tuning for high‑volume applications.

Job Role: L3 Oracle DBA

Job Location: Singapore

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.

Job Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Design and implement robust database administration solutions, including:
• Resource management, security, backup and recovery strategies
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Data management and capacity planning
• Multi-threading and parallelism techniques
• Failover planning and implementation between database instances
• Provide architectural oversight for new implementations, environment changes, and client- or audit-driven recommendations.
• Contribute to automation initiatives across design, development, and deployment stages.
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation to support architectural and operational processes.
• Share domain knowledge and provide technical mentorship and cross-training to team members.
• Collaborate with development teams on complex query tuning and schema optimization.
• Participate in new implementation projects, including preparing pre-implementation plans for both internal and external rollouts.
• Independently analyze and resolve real-time production issues, ensuring end-to-end problem resolution.
• Apply effective data modeling techniques to ensure solutions meet integration, scalability, and performance benchmarks.

Job Skills & Requirements: -

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a strong foundation in Oracle and at least one additional RDBMS.
• Proven experience in installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux (RedHat, Fedora, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on experience in database development, including writing functions, stored procedures, triggers, and other database programming constructs.
• Must have working experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning and optimization for high-volume database applications.
• In-depth architectural knowledge of Oracle database engines.
• Solid understanding of backup and restore processes, recovery models, clustering, database mirroring, and replication strategies.
• Ability to proactively identify and troubleshoot Oracle Server-related resource issues (CPU, memory, I/O, disk space).
• Exposure to OLAP modeling, star schemas, and large-scale data warehousing is a plus.
