Job summary

NTT Data Singapore is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to design, manage and optimize large database environments including Oracle, SQL Server and MongoDB in a mission-critical setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Oracle Restart on Windows, plus upgrades and patches. Leadership on IT system development and strong scripting, tuning and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience of system/database development.
• Experience in scripting, query tuning, optimization and solve complex problems.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Database Administration.
• Prior experience in IT system development and control, and operations in a leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Designs and maintains database design documents and keeps them up-to-date.
• Manage database environment including Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle Restart on Windows; handling upgrades and patching.
• Monitor system performance, perform daily Start-of-Day checks, and ensure recoverability.
• Establish and enforce database standards for security, reliability, availability, and scalability.
• Perform root cause analysis of production database issues and report status promptly.
• Lead ongoing and new projects; provide progress updates to Section Head; escalate as needed.
• Configure servers and databases, ensuring data integrity.
• Handle private data ethically, including financial/customer data.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and ServiceNow for incident management.
