Job summary

Talento Meld Pte Ltd is seeking an L1 Engineer to monitor networks and perform basic troubleshooting in a contract role. The position covers on-site work at Bedok with occasional visits to Ayer Rajah, and a contract through Sep 2026 to May 2027, with a fixed gross salary including a mobile/transport allowance.

Responsibilities include monitoring, diagnostics, asset management, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting to the SDM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in networking and basic troubleshooting.
• Candidates residing in eastern part of Singapore preferred (Bedok, Tampines, Pasir Ris).
• CCNA certification would be great.
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only; no work passes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems using Elastic Observability and Kibana dashboards.
• Perform basic network diagnostics (ping, nslookup, tracert) and OS imaging (Windows 11).
• Install software and applications as required.
• Conduct on-site hardware inspections and verify network devices.
• Escort duties for vendors and project teams during PMs, deployments and ad-hoc site visits.
• Support file transfers for network and server teams.
• Maintain and update the master asset inventory and EOSL reports.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding for engineers, including equipment provisioning.
• Submit visitor clearance requests and manage approvals.
• Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports for the SDM and document meeting minutes.

Job description

Role: L1 Engineer

Working Hours: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (Mondays to Fridays)

Location: Bedok (Permanent); Ayer Rajah (1 to 2 times per week)

Type of Role: Contract (Contract Extension/Conversion to Permanent)

Contract Period: SEP 2026 - MAY 2027

Remuneration: $3,800 + $500 (mobile and transport allowance) [$4,300 FIXED GROSS SALARY]

Remuneration: Completion Bonus: 1st year - (*pro-rated payable on 31 MAY 2027 - subject to contract completion and individual performance)

Start Date: SEP 2026 (G50 Security Clearance required, process takes about 2 months)

Primary Responsibilities:

Network Monitoring

• Utilise monitoring tools including Elastic Observability and Kibana Dashboard to conduct network and system health checks and identify potential issues.

Basic Troubleshooting

• Execute fundamental network diagnostic commands such as ping, ns lookup, and tracert for connectivity analysis.

• Perform laptop operating system imaging (Windows 11 and other versions)

• Install necessary software and applications.

Physical Checks

• Conduct on-site hardware inspections and physical verification of network devices.

Escort Duties: Accompany vendors, project teams, and personnel for:

• Preventive maintenance (PM) activities.

• Project deployment exercises.

• Ad-hoc site visits.

File Transfers

• Support the network and server team with secure file transfer operations as required.

Asset Management

• Maintain and update the master asset inventory.

• Prepare and update the quarterly End of Support Life (EOSL) report via the asset dashboard.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Onboarding: Coordinate onboarding activities for new engineers, including laptop and equipment provisioning.

• Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process for departing engineers, including:

• Exit form tracking and follow-up.

• Retrieval of issued assets.

Visitor Clearance

• Submit visitor clearance requests and conduct follow-up.

• Ensure timely coordination and approval processes.

Support to Service Delivery Manager (SDM)

• Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports.

• Document meeting minutes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in networking, basic troubleshooting experience.

• Preference will be will give to candidates residing in eastern part of Singapore: Bedok, Tampines, Pasir Ris and who is looking for a job as soon as possible.

• CCNA certification would be great.
