Job summary

Maybank Securities is seeking a diligent KYC/AML specialist to perform document reviews across individuals, corporates, and other entities. You will ensure completeness, assess risk, and maintain audit trails within internal systems.

The role requires familiarity with AML/CFT rules, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight timelines while coordinating with Compliance, Operations and Business teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of KYC, AML, CDD/EDD and client onboarding processes.
• Experience reviewing KYC documentation for individuals and entities.
• Understanding AML/CFT regulations and sanctions screening.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform KYC document reviews and remediation to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Review client documentation including IDs, ownership structures, and signatories.
• Assess adequacy of KYC records and identify gaps for remediation.
• Manage inquiries via team mailboxes and respond within service levels.
• Conduct risk-based assessments and collect supporting documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with Business, Compliance, Operations to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate customer records with audit trails in internal systems.
• Support periodic reviews and regulatory remediation exercises per timelines.
• Ensure tasks are completed with accuracy and quality.
