Job summary

Carlton Hotel Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a diligent Kitchen Steward to support daily hotel operations in the back-of-house areas. You will wash and clean utensils, manage dishwashing processes, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include handling cleaning chemicals, stocking supplies, setting up buffets, and assisting colleagues to ensure high standards of hygiene and service are maintained throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication skills.
• Primary school education completed.
• Willingness to learn and work in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean pots, pans and utensils hygienically.
• Load dirty wares into the dishwasher and operate SOPs.
• Clean the kitchen area; sweep, mop and keep it tidy.
• Maintain cleaning supplies from stewarding store.
• Keep cleansing supplies stocked and organized.
• Soak and wash chinaware and glassware with chemicals.
• Arrange crockery to prevent chips and cracks.
• Keep dishwasher and buffet equipment clean and functional.
• Set up buffet area according to instructions.
• Ensure areas are clean before the shift ends.
• Follow special cleaning schedules.
• Re-stack equipment after use for next shift.
• Ensure sanitation solutions are available at stations.
• Assist colleagues with their tasks.
• Report broken crockery or equipment to supervisor.
