Job summary

NAN HUA CHANG SEA FOODS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Cook to join our Singapore kitchen. You will prepare and cook meals to company standards, handle ingredients, and help with daily service. Experience in a food service setting is preferred, along with a strong emphasis on hygiene and safety.

You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ensure portion control, and assist with stock checks and cleaning as required. Punctuality and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cook experience in food service such as food court, canteen, restaurant or catering kitchen preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Responsible, hardworking and punctual.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and company standards.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces and spices.
• Ensure food is fresh, properly cooked and of consistent quality.
• Assist with daily food preparation and meal service.
• Maintain proper portion control and minimise food wastage.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
