Job summary

ROLL 'ROUND THE WORLD PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our bakery team with day-to-day kitchen operations.

You’ll work with our bakers on basic food preparation and general kitchen duties, with no professional baking experience required and a strong emphasis on learning and teamwork. Located in the East of Singapore, the role offers 5 to 5.5 days per week with weekends and selected public holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certification or be willing to take it promptly.
• Reliable, responsible and willing to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and baking supplies as instructed.
• Prepare packaging and pack finished bakes.
• Wash and clean baking equipment, utensils and dishes.
• Assist bakers with simple mixing, measuring and food preparation.
• Keep work areas and kitchen clean and organized.
• Assist with receiving, storing and organizing ingredients.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Support bakers with other general kitchen duties as required.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support our bakery team with day-to-day kitchen operations.

You’ll work alongside our bakers to help with basic food preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties. No professional baking experience is required, we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn, works well as part of a team and takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean and organised.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and baking supplies as instructed
• Prepare packaging (eg fold boxes), including packing finished bakes
• Wash and clean baking equipment, utensils and dishes
• Assist bakers with simple mixing, measuring and food preparation
• Keep work areas, equipment and the kitchen clean and organised
• Assist with receiving, storing and organising ingredients
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Support the bakers with other general kitchen duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• Must possess valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certification. Alternatively, must be prepared to take and pass the course promptly.
• Reliable, responsible and willing to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry out routine kitchen tasks
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is a plus, but not essential

Working hours and remuneration

• Must be able to work flexible shifts
• Location of bakery is in the East of Singapore, near Siglap
• 5 to 5.5 day week; must work weekends and selected public holidays
• Able to start ASAP
• Salary range from S$1,200 - $1,600, depending on experience.
