Job summary

Allkin Singapore Ltd is seeking a dedicated team member to support families through home visits focused on child development. You will work with parents to enhance parenting skills, assess needs, and deliver learning activities that promote healthier family dynamics.

Working with paediatricians, nurses, and social work consultants, you will also handle case notes, participate in trainings, and collaborate with community partners to deliver holistic services.

Qualifications

• Degree in early childhood, psychology, nursing, social work, counselling or equivalent.
• Experience in early childhood development or social services preferred.
• Able to adapt to organizational changes and work some weekday evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, guidance, knowledge and skills to enhance parents' capacity in child development during home visits.
• Motivate, assess and enhance parents' ability to practise knowledge in child development.
• Create and facilitate learning opportunities for parents in parent-child interaction and family well-being.
• Provide information on medical, dental, mental health services with a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with community and social service agencies to provide holistic family support.
• Deliver tiered child development support/intervention and conduct screenings.
• Fulfill administrative duties, including upkeep of case notes and timely uploads onto the SSNet system.
• Attend relevant trainings and participate in team activities and case conferences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide support, guidance, knowledge and skills to enhance parents' capacity in child development through regular home visits.


• To motivate, assess and enhance parents' ability to practise and apply the knowledge and skills in child development.


• To create and faciliate learning opportunities for parents in the areas of parent-child interaction, development-centred parenting and family well-being.


• To provide information and knowledge on medical, dental, mental health services, early childhood development, developmental issues, with support from a multi-disciplinary team comprising paediatricians and nurses, allied health professionals, early childhood and social work consultants.


• To collaborate with community and social service agencies such as FSCs and SSOs to provide holistic support for families, which includes regular case conferences and discussions.


• To deliver tiered child development support / intervention based on level of needs and conduct screening and assessments.


• To fulfill all administrative duties, examples include upkeep of case notes and timely uploads onto the Social Service Net (SSNet) system.


• To attend all relevant trainings.


• All other duties, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in early childhood, psychology, nursing, social work, counselling or equivalent.


• Preferably at least 1 years of experience in early childhood development, or social service sector.


• Adaptable to organizational changes.


• Able to work on some weekday evenings and weekends.
