Job summary

Singapore Children’s Society is seeking a KidSTART Practitioner to support families and children through home visits and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will engage parents, assess child development and health, and coordinate with social service agencies to deliver integrated care.

The role emphasises strengthening parenting capacities, early childhood development, and community partnerships within the KidSTART programme. Weekday evenings and some weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy and understanding of the needs and challenges faced by parents and caregivers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to enhance parents' capacity in nurturing child development through home visits.
• Conduct screening and ongoing assessments on child development and family wellbeing.
• Build and maintain positive partnerships with parents and caregivers to support knowledge transfer.
• Motivate parents to apply and integrate child development knowledge in daily routines.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, nurses, allied health professionals and early childhood consultants.
• Partner with community and social service agencies to deliver integrated care.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, training and case reviews.
